Title
    • An *exceptional* tea, these tightly rolled tea 'pearls' unfurl like little dancers in your cup
    • This is not your standard restaurant-grade jasmine green tea, both the blossom and the tea are of the very highest quality
    • Dragon Phoenix is famous for its perfume and sweet liquor
    • A king among teas!

Green Tea Antioxidants: Catechins, including EGCG (Epigallocatechin Gallate), flavonoids (thearubigins, epicatechins), poyphenols, L-theanine

    Ingredients: Green tea, Jasmine petals

    ‚ústORAC: ~1253/8 Fl Oz
    ‚ústCaffeine Level: 30 Mg/8 Fl Oz

(A coffee has 95Mg/8 Fl. Oz. caffeine for comparison)

    -----------------------------------

How to Brew Green Tea: Rinse 1-2tsp of leaves with water that has just started simmering, discard the rinse water. This 'wakes up' the leaves and removes small particles that can make it bitter. Then pour over 8oz of 160F water and steep for 2-3 minutes. (Using boiling water will burn the delicate leaves and destroy their health benefits; brewing for too long will result in a very bitter drink. If you want a stronger flavor, use more leaves and steep for the same or slightly less time.)

...and for a Pitcher of Iced Tea: Follow the same steps per tea, however triple the quantity of tea used and double the water. Let it steep for at least twenty minutes, possibly overnight. Then put in the fridge, or pour directly over ice. Note that the caffeine and antioxidants tend to disappear after 3-4 hours of brewing, so be careful!

How many cups of tea is in a package? How do I store my tea?

We recommend using ~1-2tsp (heaped) of tea for a standard mug, though you may want more or less depending on your taste, infuser and water temperature! Therefore...

    • 1oz of tea makes around 12-14 cups
    • 4oz of tea makes around 50-56 cups
    • 8oz of tea makes around 100-112 cups

Always store tea in a dark and airtight container or cupboard (light degrades the tea removing the tasty goodness!). If stored correctly, our teas will retain their taste for up to three years. After that they are still safe to drink, but won't taste of much!

What does the ORAC score mean?

ORAC stands for Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity and is a scale to gauge antioxidant units. The higher the ORAC value, the higher the antioxidant level.

    Allergen Warning:

Nut allergies: All of our products are handled, packed and processed in facilities that handles nuts and seeds. You can also check our ingredients list in the description tab of each tea or product to see if they have added/blended nuts, nut oils or other nut derived compounds.

Chamomile teas: A relatively low percentage of people are sensitive to chamomile and develop allergic reactions. People sensitive to ragweed and chrysanthemums or other members of the Compositae family are more prone to develop contact allergies to chamomile, especially if they take other drugs that help to trigger the sensitization (Srivastava, 2010).
