  • Imagine relaxing in front of the fire while a blizzard rages outside, safe and snug with this minty tea
  • Minty fresh, floral and sweet: this peppermint-Chamomile blend will put you in the festive mood with one sip
  • Anti-inflammatory properties of Chamomile will help calm and relax, and the peppermint will calm any tummy upsets

Chamomile Antioxidants: Luteolin (a flavone), apigenin, umbelligerone, esculetin, quercetin

Ingredients: Chamomile petals, Peppermint leaves.

✓ ORAC: ~1000/8 Fl Oz
✓ Caffeine Level: 0 Mg/8 Fl Oz

-----------------------------------

How to Brew Chamomile: Steep 1tsp in 8oz of freshly boiled water (212F) for 5 minutes. If you want a stronger flavor, add another teaspoon of leaves and steep for 2-3 minutes. (Steeping longer, surprisingly, doesn't enhance the flavor and instead results in a slightly bitter brew)

...and for a Pitcher of Iced Tea: Follow the same steps per tea, however triple the quantity of tea used and double the water. Let it steep for at least twenty minutes, possibly overnight. Then put in the fridge, or pour directly over ice. Note that the antioxidants tend to disappear after 3-4 hours of brewing, so be careful!

How do I store my tea? What is the shelf life of herbal teas and moringa?

Always store tea is a dark and airtight container (light degrades the leaves removing the tasty goodness!). If stored correctly, our teas will retain their taste for up to three years. After that they are still safe to drink, but won't taste of much! If stored in an unsealed container or exposed to light, our teas should be consumed within six months of purchase to get the maximum flavor.

Powdered Moringa is best consumed within six months even if stored properly to get the maximum flavor and potential health benefits.

Allergen Warning:

Nut allergies: All of our products are handled, packed and processed in facilities that handles nuts and seeds. You can also check our ingredients list in the description tab of each tea or product to see if they have added/blended nuts, nut oils or other nut derived compounds.

Chamomile teas: A relatively low percentage of people are sensitive to chamomile and develop allergic reactions. People sensitive to ragweed and chrysanthemums or other members of the Compositae family are more prone to develop contact allergies to chamomile, especially if they take other drugs that help to trigger the sensitization (Srivastava, 2010).

ORAC stands for Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity and is a scale to gauge antioxidant units. The higher the ORAC value, the higher the antioxidant level.
